I'm from East Oakland. I studied art and history at UC Davis, and by the time I got out the dot-com bubble was blowing up the rents, so I ended up in SOMA and then the Mission - still a low-income neighborhood then, and a receptive audience for my Dia de los Muertos paintings and my explorations into pre-Columbian art.

That is where I first started selling my paintings in the street, in the late 90s. Then Carnaval, craft fairs and cafes all over the Bay Area. We’re cooking up something big. Just wait and see—this is only the beginning.

The paintings are mine. The prints are how you get one on your wall.
